Springfield Ambulatory Surgery Center is an outpatient, freestanding gastrointestinal endoscopy facility that sees patients for colorectal cancer screening and treatment of digestive diseases. Founded in 1997, our mission has always been to provide the highest quality care in a convenient, safe and comfortable setting. We are currently searching for a (Full Time ) Director of Nursing to work Mondays - Fridays. Major responsibilities include: directly supervises and organizes nursing care, clinical staff and operations of the surgery center according to the policies, objectives and mission of the center.
Responsible for all aspects of the clinical environment including: clinical staffing, ongoing refinement/development of policies and procedures, quality of care, assistance to physicians, materials and equipment management, education and development of clinical personnel, clinical risk management, facility licensing and accreditation, and all clinical administrative duties. When appropriate, delegates duties to relevant personnel and monitors their performance. Coordinates, analyzes, and evaluates clinical activities and nursing services to improve quality of care and minimize operating costs. Supervises the Quality Improvement Program and is accountable for all aspects of nursing service. Reports directly to the Administrator and Medical Director of the surgery center.
Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge, and skills, be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, have a current state license to practice as a registered nurse, maintain basic cardiac life support certification and ACLS, previous operating room, ambulatory surgical center, and/or hospital supervisory experience.
